Small Groups F.A.Q.
Q: Why are small groups important?
We were made to be in community. Regardless of your interests or stage in life, being a part of a community is important to the way God designs us. We truly are better when we are connected together (John 17: 20-23). Small groups allow us to know others and be known in a safe, encouraging environment.
Q: How can I get connected in a small group?
Small groups at CityBranch meet around the city throughout the week. Visit www.hopecitybranch.org and register for the group you’re interested in. The group leader will contact you with further details.
Q: What happens at a small group?
Small groups at CityBranch focus on four key areas: Prayer, Bible Study, Discipleship, and Service. You can expect to pray together, study God’s Word, be encouraged into deeper faith, and opportunities to serve others with your group.
Q: Can I start my own group?
Yes! We would love to talk with you more about starting a new small group. Please contact our spiritual formation leaders and they will discuss the best way to begin the group, inform you of the next small group leaders training available, and discuss the responsibilities of being a leader. Contact Mark at mkcobler@msn.com.
Q: Can I invite others at Hope and outside of Hope to a small group?
Yes! Small groups at all of Hope’s locations are open to anyone. We would love for you to invite their friends, whether they are currently involved in a church community or not.
